Sivananda Yoga Beginners Course

The Sivananda Yoga Beginners Course is a systematic introduction to the theory and practice of classical Hatha Yoga based on the teachings of Sivananda Yoga. Over 5 weekly classes, students will learn a step by step approach for developing strength, flexibility, good breathing habits, concentration and relaxation through:


-Yoga postures (Asanas)
-Breathing exercises (Pranayama)
-Relaxation exercises
-Introduction to 5 points of yoga
-Basic major asanas and their benefits


Suitable for:

Beginners who would like to learn the basics Hatha yoga, or practitioners who would like to have a refresher course.


Course dates:
Commencing 2nd September 2017

5 classes (every Saturday): 2 Sep, 9 Sep, 16 Sep, 23 Sep, 30 Sep

*Students are strongly encouraged to attend all classes consecutively.

Time: 9.45am - 11.15am (90 minutes)


$125 for 5 classes, expiry date 8 weeks from 1st class.

Sivananda Yoga Open Classes

The 90-minute open class is for regular Sivananda yoga practitioners who are familiar with the sequence of the class. Students will hold longer in the asanas (physical postures) and explore variations of the asanas.


Suitable for:

Regular Sivananda yoga practitioners, students who have completed the basic Sivananda yoga course. 


Date and time:

Every Thursday, 7.30pm - 9.00pm.


$100 for 4 classes, expiry date in 6 weeks' from 1st class.

Drop-in rate is $30 per class.
